Oh WOW. I will never go camping again. Never. I was with a lot of my family, and my cousin Liz and I went on this trail right? And she was like "Oh, look, theres the water down there. Lets just go off the trail. We'll be able to swim sooner this way! Just c'mon!" Alright, it was stupid, but I followed her. So there we are, in our bikinis and flip flops, slipping and falling down the side of the flippin' thing. :(
So I said, "Let's go on the side of the water here." And as we're walking, Liz is behind me, and all of a sudden she screams bloody murder. I thought she just had a bad case of Fifa. (faking it for attention. thank my dad for that little acronym there. he's one for the corny jokes.) But I turn around, and right there next to her toes is a fucking snake, black and wide as a soda can, 3.5 feet long. Yeah. Best believe I know what that shit looked like, I was fucking staring at it for 15 minutes, wondering what the hell to do! Fuck, I've never been more afraid. You know there were some other fuckers in there, like, copperheads and rattlesnakes. This is Indiana!
There are only three things that scare me in this world: snakes, horses (the worst, man), and my little sister. :)
So anyways, after the initial shock wore off, we just ran like all hell and basically bounded up the mossy, muddy, shitty cliff back up to the path. Well, she went off one way, laughing, toward her dad. I went the other way, back to the campsite. The whole time, every time I looked down, I would see a snake hole. :\  This was me: "Oh God Oh God Oh God Oh God." I almost... cried. Yeah, I'm a bitch. :)

Moral of the story: STAY ON THE TRAIL. I don't care how much you want to swim in the damn lake! You stay on that trail, son!

Well, hopefully this week will be better. I have two parties to go to and chill, a bottle of Bacardi, and some stuff to smoke. I can now actually celebrate the fact that SUMMER IS HERE, BITCHES!  Maybe I'll catch up on some sleep too. :)
